EXCITING JOB OPPORTUNITIES
In providing ride-hailing services, also known as transportation-hailing services, Code Base Uganda Limited (CBUL) uses Apps to connect passengers and local drivers using their personal motorcycles and vehicles (Bodaboda, 4-seater and 7-seater vehicles, vans, coasters, buses, tractors, lorries, trailers, etc). To strengthen and revolutionalize its ride-hailing services, CBUL seeks to recruit suitably Qualified and Experienced Professionals for the following Five (5) Positions:
1. GENERAL MANAGER – DEPARTMENT OF RIDE NOW
Position and Role Description:
- The General Manager – Ride Now (GM-RN), is the highest-ranking Official in the Department of Ride Now which administers and coordinates the provision of the ride-hailing services at Code Base Uganda Limited.
- Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the GM-RN administers, coordinates, oversees and ensures the effective and efficient management of the day-to-day overall performance of the Department in the areas of revenue, profitability, expenditures, staffing, service, branding and future growth and development.
- The GM-RN is responsible for making strategic decisions and ensuring that Departmental Goals and Objectives are achieved as planned. He/she is also responsible for key Departmental: Business Initiatives, Strategies and Systems; Structure, Policies and Procedures; Human Resources, Finances, Goods and Services offered; Resource Mobilisation and Policy Implementation; overall Risk Management Initiatives and Mitigation Strategies; and guides the Department’s overall Strategic Direction.
- As the top most Department of Ride Now Administrator, Manager and Leader, the GM-RN is responsible for: ensuring the Department’s overall operational excellence, building a strong team of competent Departmental staff with the potential to delivering the desired Departmental targets, managing strategic partnerships; coordinating, organizing, and managing strategy, goal setting, work planning and execution, planning for staffing needs; and serves as a key liaison between the Departmental Staff and Senior Management.

Required Qualifications and Experience:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following fields: Business Administration, Management, Leadership, Information Technology, Information Communication Technology, Computer Science or any other Computer Applications-related Courses, is a must.
- A Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing and/or Information Technology, Information Communication Technology or Computer Science is required.
- Extensive experience in leadership, management and administration of at least 10 years, 5 of which must have been at middle and/or senior level.
- Experience as General Manager, Operations Manager, Commercial Manager, Sales and Marketing Manager, or similar senior/middle management roles is required.
- Demonstrated success in leading and expanding private-sector enterprises, with preference for experience in the automobile industry and commercial motorcycle business.
- Experience in developing and implementing strategic plans and business strategies to drive growth and profitability.
- Proven ability to effectively network through various telecommunication channels and social media.
- A track record for successfully building and leading teams to manage complex projects and initiatives.
2. SALES AND MARKETING MANAGER
Position and Role Description:
- Reporting directly to the General Manager – Ride Now, the Sales and Marketing Manager (S&MM) manages and oversees the daily operations of the Company's sales and marketing teams, and develops and implements the overall sales and marketing strategy of the Company.
- The S&MM identifies target customers, develops a voice and image for a brand, selects appropriate marketing tools, and sets long-term and short-term targets for the sales and marketing team.
- The S&MM works closely with the Company Senior Management to align the sales and marketing strategies with the corporate strategic plan, strategies, goals and objectives.

Required Qualifications and Experience:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Management or Commerce with specialization in Marketing, Advertising, Sales, or a related field from a reputable University, is a must.
- A Master’s Degree and/or Postgraduate Diploma in the above areas is required.
- Professional Certification in sales or marketing or related field is a plus.
- Minimum of at least 5 years of experience in sales and/or marketing is required.
- Proven ability to identify and reach sales and profitability targets.
- Proven work experience as a Sales and Marketing Manager, Sales and Marketing Officer Executive or having held a similar Position in the Sales and/or Marketing Department, is required.
- Proficiency in using marketing software and tools, such as Customer Relations Management (CRM) systems and email marketing platforms, is desirable.
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, such as Google Analytics, social media management tools, and email marketing software, and understanding of social media and web analytics, is a plus.
3. CLIENTS SERVICE MANAGER
Position and Role Description:
- Reporting directly to the General Manager – Ride Now, the Clients Service Manager (CSM) is primarily responsible for enhancing clients’ satisfaction, increasing sales by assisting clients, resolving clients-related issues in a speedy and harmonious manner, and implementing changes that can strengthen the Company’s relationships with its clients.
- The CSM coordinates with the Sales and Marketing Department, as well as with other Departments in the Company, to advocate for clients’ needs and provide valuable information about their buying habits.
- The CSM leads a team of Call Center Team Leaders and Call Center Agents, as well as other clients service professionals to help maximize their outreach to new and existing clients in order to increase the market share for the Company’s services.

Required Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Management or Commerce with specialized knowledge and skills in Marketing, Advertising, Sales, Communication, or a related field from a reputable University.
- A Master’s Degree and/or Postgraduate Diploma in any of the above areas would be an added advantage.
- A Professional Certification in Customers and Clients Service or related field is a plus.
- Ability to act on clients’ feedback and provide meaningful solutions.
- Minimum of at least 5 years of experience in customer and/or clients service, sales and/or marketing is required.
- Proven work experience of at least 3 years, as a Customer and Client Relationship Officer, Sales and Marketing Officer or a similar position in the Sales and/or Marketing Department. Experience as Customer and/or Clients Service Manager is preferred.
- Knowledge and proficiency in using customer, clients and marketing software and tools, such as Customer Relations Management (CRM) systems and email marketing platforms, is an added advantage.
4. SENIOR SALES AND MARKETING OFFICER
Position and Role Description:
- Reporting directly to the Sales and Marketing Manager, the Senior Sales and Marketing Officer (SS&MO) assists the Sales and Marketing Manager in driving the Company sales and marketing efforts, and participates in developing marketing and sales strategies that are aimed at increasing brand awareness, driving sales, and promoting a positive image of the Company and its services.
- The SS&MO participates in developing and implementing marketing and sales plans, maintaining clients’ relations, and creating marketing and sales reports.
- The SS&MO collaborates with external agencies and partners, ensures brand consistency, and maximizes the impact of sales and marketing efforts in the Company and external stakeholders.

5. SALES AND MARKETING STAFF TEAM LEADER
Position and Role Description:
- Reporting directly to the Sales and Marketing Manager, the Sales and Marketing Staff Team Leader (S&MSTL) is responsible for leading and developing the sales and marketing field staff, coordinating sales and marketing operations, and implementing sales and marketing strategies and techniques to enable the Company meet and/or surpass its sales and marketing targets consistently.
- The S&MTL sets the goals, objectives and targets for the sales and marketing team and tracks progress toward their realisation; and conducts regular performance reviews on the sales and marketing field staff and provides regular constructive feedback.
- The S&MTL trains and onboards new sales and marketing team members; develops, implements and monitors sales and marketing strategies; analyses sales and marketing data and market trends to optimize strategies; and collaborates with his/her superiors and other Departments to align sales and marketing objectives with the overall Company goals.

Required Qualifications and Experience:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, Leadership or Commerce with specialized knowledge and skills in Marketing, Advertising, Sales, or a related field from a reputable University.

- Minimum of at least 3 years of experience in sales, marketing or sales and marketing staff leadership is required.

- Professional certification in marketing or related field; demonstrated excellent knowledge of various modern marketing techniques, tactics and Principles; and possession of high-level communication and networking skills, are a plus.
